50

2016, 2017 and 2018 were been turbulent years, especially in Britain following the EU referendum.

The 50 images of this project were taken in the UK after the vote, while the term “Brexit” has never been out of the news. They were not taken with an intention of documenting the leaving process but looking back I think they reflect how I’ve felt throughout it – uncertainty.

Pairing the images with text drawn from three key documents for the process (Article 50; the Act of Parliament triggering Article 50; and the letter from the Prime Minister to the EU) all adds to the sense of dis-organisation of this time.

Any Member State may decide to withdraw from the Union in accordance with its own constitutional requirements.
