All Conceivable Freedoms

You are not my daughter anymore.

These hurtful words were said by a Brazilian mother the moment she found out that her daughter was in love with a woman.

It is hard to be homosexual in Brazil. A judge recently approved gay “conversion therapy”, kids are beaten up in school for being “too effeminate” and simple things like walking holding hands with your partner can get you killed. Almost one person a day died from homophobic crimes in Brazil in 2016. And it gets even harder when the prejudice comes from a place expected to be safe and full of support.

This project aims to raise awareness regarding the suffering that Brazilian homosexuals go through when they lose the freedom of being themselves inside their family home.
